01. Indians win honor at Robot Olympiad: The first ever Robot Olympiad was held recently at Doha, Qatar. The first position in the Olympiad was won by a team from Ahmedabad comprising of Aaman Shah, Aarav Savla and Shaurya Goenka. Students from more than 55 countries participated in the Olympiad.

02. 26th November is National Milk Day: 26th November is being observed as the ‘National Milk Day’ to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Father of the White Revolution Dr. Verghese Kurien. Popularly called as the ‘Milkman of India’, he is accredited to transforming the country from a milk-deficit stage into the world largest milk producing country.



03. Indian-American appointed as Director for Asian Development Bank (ADB): Swati Dandekar has been appointed as one of the directors of ADB. Indian born, American who is a politician was appointed to this post by Obama. She was the first-ever Indian-American to be elected to Iowa House of Representatives in 2003.



04. First ever historic day-night cricket test : Australia and New Zealand would play the first ever day-night cricket test match at Adelaide Oval with the pink coloured Kookaburra ball. This move is expected to increase gate attendance at the test venues.

05. 10.8% average salary hike by employers in India: A survey report says that Indian employers are expected to give a salary hike of 10.8% to their employees. The top performing employees would net in 12.5%, and the above average employees would receive a hike of 11%, while the average employees would get a hike of 9.7%.

06. Blue Revolution back again: ‘Blue Revolution’ which aims at enabling environment for an integrated and holistic development and management of fisheries keeping in view the sustainability, bio-security and environmental concerns was launched recently with a project outlay of Rs.3000 crores.

07. Dinanath Mangeshkar award for Marathi actor Prashant Damle: Veteran Marati actor Prshant Damle has been selected for Dinanath Mangeshkar for his outstanding contribution in the field of theatre, film and music. He is a stage veteran and acted in many Marati dramas apart from many movies and TV serials.

01. Axis Bank gets in-principle clearance for TReDs: Permission was recently, by RBI to three entities including Axis Bank for setting up of a Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS). The TReDS is aimed at improving the flow of funds to the MSME sector by reducing receivables realisation cycles.

02. Union Government announces scheme for disabled: Union Government has announced launching and modifying 10 schemes for the disabled. The areas of assistance included day care, respite care, group housing, health, marketing, education and assistance devices.

03. Corporate frauds – India found among worst: In terms of corporate frauds, India was the among the worst, in the areas of bribery, corruption and stealing of company proprietary. The survey was conducted by the Economic Intelligence Unit of risk consulting company Kroll Inc. and 75% of the company executives of India revealed that their corporate was subject to some kind of fraud.

04. Business confidence in India is lowest since February 2014: Business confidence in India, as per the indicators of MNI, a research company survey. It fell to 60.9% from 62.3% in October this year. This drop was felt both across manufacturing and construction companies.

05. Additional 2% charge on Metro airfare: Flyers between metro destinations will have to pay an additional 2% charge and the excess fare collected will go towards setting up of a Regional Connectivity Fund (RCF) to subsidize air travel between identified non-metro destinations.

06. “Tourist Mitra” launched by Karnataka: Karnataka State Tourism and Development Corporation (KSTDC) has launched “Tourist Mitra”, a tourist-friendly police force. Tourist Mitra would be deployed in various tourist destinations across the state and they would be working in unison with the local police to secure the safety of the tourists visiting the state.

07. ‘Orange the world’ campaign launched: November 25th has been designated as the Elimination of Violence against the Women” day. The day was synchronized with orange colour, symbolizing safety for women.
