01. Performance of RuPay cards picking up: As per recent RBI data reports, there are 603 million debit cards that are circulation in India. Out of the above, 222 million cards have been issued with affiliation of RuPay and out of the above, 170 million cards are linked to Jan-Dhan accounts. Out of the 10 million transactions that are done daily through cards, RuPay accounts for 2 million transactions.
02. Withdraw cash without ATMs: Electronic processing platform PayWorld will be tie up with SBI to provide the facility of withdrawing cash from retailers, without usage of ATMs. This scheme will be useful in rural areas, where there are no ATMs installed. The ceiling on withdrawal is Rs.2000/=. Payworld will rope in 500 retailers throughout the country for this purpose, initially.
03. SBI launches ‘Neev’ fund: SBI has recently launched the country’s first low-income state infrastructure fund ‘Neev’. The fund aims at providing equity partnerships for small infrastructure development in sectors like water and sanitation, clean energy and urban infrastructure.
04. ‘Tianhe -2’ of China is again the world’s most powerful super computer: China’s ‘Tianhe-2’ has again been adjudged as the world’s most powerful super computer. It was developed by National University of Defence technology, China. Tianhe-2 means Milky Way-2 and it is capable of a performance of 33.86 petaflop per seconds (quadrillions of calculations per second or Pflop/s) on the Linpack benchmark.

India is second largest user of Internet in the world: As per the report of Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), India has emerged as the second largest nation to use the internet, following China. Internet users are expected to touch 402 million by December 2015. Currently the figure is 375 million, while that of China is 600 million.
06. New Chief Justice for India: Justice T.S.Thakur has been appointed as the new Chief Justice of India. He will be the 43rd Chief Justice of India. He was elevated as Judge of Supreme Court and took charge on 17 November 2009.
07. Railway projects worth Rs.8351 crores approved: The Cabinet Committee of Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved railway projects worth Rs.8351 crores. The states to be benefitted by these projects are Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
08. Govt announces 3% interest subsidy to boost exports: Taking serious concern over continuous decline in exports, Government has announced 3% interest subsidy scheme for exporters. This will result in an outlay of Rs.2700 crores for the exchequer.
01. World Health Organization (WHO) launches World Antibiotics Awareness week: WHO has organized world Antibiotics Awareness week with the theme “Antibiotics Handle with care”. The week aims at creating awareness about the resistance of antibiotics in patients, if not used correctly.

Bangladesh bans social medias: Following the order of the Bangladesh telecom authority, the country has banned the use of facebook, whatsapp and other social media, since it was found that the terrorists use these media to exchange communication. This is the second time that the country is banning the social media in the current year.
03. Intel ties up with Telengana to digitalize state: Intel, together with the Telengana Government has launched the ‘Ek Kadam Unnati Ki Aur’ initiative to digitalize rural areas in Telengana state and also other parts of India.

Reduction in no of zero balance accounts: The good news is that 5.37 crores bank accounts have been opened in a year under the PM Jan Dhan Yojana and from a mere RS.4.27 lakh, the balance in these accounts have gone up to a whopping Rs.27,000 crores in a year. The number of zero balance accounts have also slid to 36%
05. India and Vietnam sign agreement in the areas of animal health: India and Vietnam have come together to exchange information on animal health in general, meat processing and slaughter houses, set up agreement on veterinary hygiene and train human resources in the field of animal health.

RBI plans to allow holding of 10% shares in Banks: Increasing the cap of 4.99% , RBI has planned to allow investors / stake holders to hold 10% shares in banks, however subject to the condition that these investors fulfill conditions which will be forced by RBI. To achieve this, an amendment is required to the Banking Law (Amendment) Act, 2012 .
07. Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) releases Global Terrorism Index: IEP released Global Terrorism Index. In the list, India ranks 6th most affected country by terrorism and 416 persons were killed due to terrorism activities since 2010 in India. The toppers were Iraq, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Pakistan and Syria.
08. 19th November is World Toilet Day: 19th November has been declared as the world toilet day. As it is a right to have clean water and sanitation, campaigns were held to raise awareness about using toilets. This day is being celebrated by the World Toilet Organization.
