1. JEE results TN board scores least in south: The recent results of JEE showed the Tamil Nadu state board in a very poor position. While 2386 persons of AP and Telangana state board qualified for JEE Entrance exam only 33 person from Tamil Nadu state board qualified for the same. This shows the very poor performance of the Tamil Nadu state board students in national competition.

3. Bail for Roy after Rs.10,000 crore is paid ordered Supreme Court: The Supreme Court refused to release Sahara Chief Subrata Roy from Tihar Jail without the group depositing Rs.10,000 crore with market regulator SEBI as per the March 26,2014 bail condition and specified that Rs.36,000 crore was due from the group.
4. Draft outline for sovereign Gold Bond ( SGB) scheme released by Government: The bonds will be issued in the denominations of 2,5 and 10 gms of gold or other denomination with a minimum tenor of 5 - 7 years. The rate of interest will be linked to international rate for gold borrowing ,but would have 2% as the indicative lower limit. SGBs will be restricted to resident Indians with an annual cap of 500gms per person.
5. Cricketer Dhoni fined 75% of match fee: ICC Match Referee Andy Pycroft fined Dhoni 75% of his match fee . Pycroft said with his experience Dhoni could have avoided body contact with the bowler , Mustafizur Rahman who had come in his path but didn’t do so. Pycroft also fined Mustafizur 50% of his match fee after he accepted that he should have moved away from the batsman’s path.
6. Denial of clearance to Sun TV illegal Attorney -General: Attorney- General Mukul Rohatgi has said that the refusal by the Ministry of Home affairs to grant security licence to the Sun TV media group is “ not legal”. Such action can be taken only when there is a threat to the nation’s security said the Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi.

8. NALSAR law university issues gender- neutral certificate: NALSAR university of law of Hyderabad has issued India’s “first gender- neutral certificate” with the honorific “Mx” after a student requested it instead of “Mr” or “Ms”.
9. SBI launches online platform for foreign exchange transactions: SBI launched “ SBI e-forex” , an internet based platform that enables customers to book their foreign exchange transactions online.
