1. Rajasthan – 1st state to submit Atal Mission action plan: Rajasthan has become the first state in the country to submit State Annual Action Plan under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) targeting universal coverage in respect of water supply connections and sewerage connections to all urban households in the state.

2. Tamil Nadu attracts mega investments at Global Investors Meet: The two-days (2015 September 9-10) Global Investor Conference inaugurated by state chief minister J. Jayalalithaa.

3. PM in Chandigarh for Inauguration and attending PGIMER Convocation Ceremony: Narendra Modi arrived at UT City Chandigarh for first time after becoming the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hands over the keys to 10 successful allottees of the Sector 63 General Self-Financing Housing Scheme and launched a mobile application for various services and a citizen-friendly website of the Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB).It was a part of the vision “Housing for All 2022.

4. National web portal for apprenticeship training launched: Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani launched the national web portal at New Delhi for promotion of a national apprenticeship scheme for Graduates, Diploma holders and 10+2 pass-outs vocational certificate holders. Logo and a Slogan – “Sashakt Yuva, Samarth Bharat”

5. Centre to import additional 5,000 tonnes of Tur Dal: To boost the availability of pulses in the domestic market andbring down prices of the key protein source, the Centre has decided to import 5,000 additional tonnes of tur (arhar)through MMTC and speed up the process of imports.
