01. Reliance enters into MoU with Abu Dhabi Ship Building Company: Reliance Defence Ltd has entered into an MoU with Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) to set up a strategic partnership for construction of naval ships. The partnership will include construction of frigates and destroyers to address the demands of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) over the next 10 years.

02.Govt. to develop Bodhgaya as the Spiritual capital of the country: Government has decided to develop Bodhgaya in Gaya district of Bihar as the Spiritual Capital of the country in order to serve the civilisational bond between India and the Buddhist world.

03. India to join UN’s Better Than Cash Alliance to achieve financial inclusion: India will be joining UN-based Better Than Cash Alliance with a view to reduce cash transactions in its economy and achieve financial inclusion.

04. 7 new features, numbering system to check fake currency: 7 New security features will be introduced in Indian currency, especially in Rs.1000/= and Rs.500/= denominations to check the increasing menace of fake notes. Bhartiya Note Mudran Pvt Ltd (BRBNMPL) , a fully owned subsidiary of RBI will start printing currency notes with these security features from next year onwards.

New planet ‘Eridani’ has been discovered: Astronomers have officially announced the discovery of the exoplanet 51 Eridani b with the aid of the new Gemini Planet Imager instrument. 51 Eridani b is a young, methane-rich gas giant that is a milestone in the ongoing search for Jupiter-like worlds beyond our solar system.

06. Pro Kabaddi League: U Mumba has been crowned 2015 champions in the recently concluded Pro-kabaddi leagure. They defeated team Bengaluru Bulls in the finals.

07. BSNL plans to increase Broadband speed: State owned BSNL has announced to upgrade all its existing broadband plans for both old and new subscribers to a minimum speed of 2 megabytes per second (mbps) from 512 kilobytes per second (kbps).

08. G-20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meet held in Turkey: The G-20 meeting of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors was held for two days on Sep 4th and 5th at Ankara in Turkey. The meeting reviewed the issues pertaining to current global economy and also the fall out of the devaluation of Chinese currency Yuan.

09. Tamilian to lead opposition in Sri Lankan parliament in 32 years: Tamil National Alliance (TNA) leader Sri.R.Sampanthan has become the first tamilian to lead the opposition in the Sri Lankan parliament after a gap of 32 years.

10. ISRO signs agreement with Indian Railways: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Indian Railways have signed an agreement for introducing Wi-fi in trains.
