1. DD clears biopic on Deen Dayal Upadhyaya : Doordarshan cleared a proposal for a biopic, on Deen Dayal Upadhyaya to mark the centenary celebrations next year. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya is referred to as “yug purush” by the PM Narendra Modi.

2. Xiaomi ties up with Foxconn : China’s Xiaomi Inc. has tied up with Taiwan’s Foxconn to assemble its mobile phones in India at Sri City near Chennai. This expected to cut cost and boost its market share in world’s third largest Smartphone market.

Tech Majors in Race to Buy Polaris : Several global and Indian technology companies are in the race to acquire a controlling stake in Polaris Consulting & services Ltd or Polaris as shortly called by IT persons . The founder chairman and mentor Arun Jain and key investors have initiated talks to sell their stakes in the company .

The Government will block only child porn websites the center tells Supreme Court : On the defensive over its recent omnibus order shutting down 850 online porn sites, the Union Government has told the Supreme Court that it would try and block child porn only and other adult content freely available on the internet.

Team to visit Dhaka Today to Set Up Panel on Fake Currency : In an attempt to take forward the first MoU on fake currency signed between India and Bangladesh during PM Narendra Modi's visit in June this year, a high-level India delegation is visiting Dhaka to formalise the setting up of a joint task force as agreed upon under the pact.

Adoption of mobile banking technology is highest in India and China at 60 -70%: The Global Mobile Banking Report 2015 claims that adoption of mobile technologies for banking has reached 60-70% of the total banking population in India and China, which is higher than that of United States and Europe.

9. Green tribunal lifts stay on ONGC- GAIL methane project: The Southern bench of the National Green Tribunal has vacated its interim stay issued on the methane gas project undertaken by ONGC and GAIL in the districts of Thanjavur and Thiruvarur.
