1. India and Bangladesh ratify Land Boundary Agreement: As India and Bangladesh have ratified the land boundary agreement during the visit of PM Modi to Bangladesh more than 50,000 people in 162 enclaves on both sides of the borders will be benefited as their nationality will become certain after the land agreement.
2. Dutch expertise for Mumbai‘s Coastal road project: The Maharashtra Government has proposed a 35 km road along the coast from Nariman point to Versova in Mumbai estimated to cost Rs.9,000 crores. The Dutch Government is all set to share its expertise for building this road.
3. The Mutual Fund assets cross Rs.12 lakh crore: Due to continuous inflow into the equity funds the Assets Under Management ( AUM ) of the mutual fund industry has crossed Rs.12 lakh crore in May 2015 according to the data released by Association Of Mutual Funds Of India( AMFI).
4. Vikas and Lalitha strike Gold: Vikas Gowda won gold in men’s discus throw and Lalitha won gold in steeplechase in the 21st Asian Athletics Championship held at Wuhan China.
5. NRI deposit of Kerala cross Rs. 1 lakh Crore: Out of the total NRI deposit of Rs.7 lakhs crores of India a substantial portion of Rs.1 lakh crore is from Kerala. Kerala has thus nearly one sixth of all the NRI deposit of India.

1. Modi announces $2 billion credit to Bangladesh : After the historic Land Boundary Agreement( LBA) with Bangladesh ,PM Modi has announced a fresh two billion dollar credit for Bangladesh .Modi and Sheik Hasina inaugurated the Kolkatta -Dhaka -Shillong International Bus service also.
2. A separate ‘D’ section for RTE students: In what goes against the very principle of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education( RTE Act) a Bangalore based School, has discriminated against the students admitted under the RTE quota by putting them in separate section and distinguishing them from regular students.
3. India’s First Green Police station inaugurated at New Delhi’s Maurice Nagar: As a sequel to World Environment Day India’s first green police station at Maurice Nagar in Delhi was inaugurated by the Police Commissioner Bhim Sain Bassi.
4. Oil Spill Response Centre ( OSRC) inaugurated for Mumbai : Oil Spill Response Centre (OSRC) for Mumbai Port and Jawaharlal Nehru Port was inaugurated on 5th June 2015 by the Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. This is expected to handle the pollution and oil spills in and around Mumbai.
5. Malala attack case – Eight suspects secretly acquitted by court : A Pakistani court has freed eight out of 10 men charged with organising the shooting of school girl activist Malala Yousafzai . This move will rise further questions about Pakistan’s heavily criticised judicial systems .
6. Welcome Protection for good Samaritans : Many common people are afraid of taking an accident victim to hospital or for emergency services because they are afraid of police and their further actions. To put an end to this, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway has notified guidelines to protect good Samaritans . Under these guidelines the persons assisting the victim will not have any civil or criminal liability and need not disclose personal information including their name while calling the police or emergency services. The good Samaritans can also leave after taking an injured person to the nearest hospital. These regulations are expected to help more good Samaritans to come to the aid of accident victims.
7. Reliance power to invest $ 3 billion in Bangladesh power plant : Anil Ambani led Reliance Power signed an agreement to invest $ 3 billion in setting up a mega power plant and an LNG import terminal in Bangladesh which faces acute power shortages.
