2. Noted Gandhian and former Chancellor of Gujarat Vidyapith, Narayan Desai, died at the age of 90. Desai was also associated with Vinoba Bhave's Bhoodan (land gift) movement and Jayprakash Narayan's 'total revolution' movement.

3. International Monetary Fund (IMF) cautioning India on challenges to its economic growth, says the organisation's managing director, Christine Lagarde. She is expected to meet Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Raghuram Rajan in India's financial capital.

4.Indian women team won Hockey World League by 3-1 against Poland at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium.

5. India has called off plans for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s travel to Brussels during his visit to Europe and Canada next month. The decision was taken as the External Ministry did not receive any reply for its proposal which suggested holding the EU-India summit during the visit.
