1. Reliance Defence inks strategic partnership MoU with Emirates Defence Industries Co. : Reliance Defence has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Emirates Defence Industries Company (EDIC) in defence sector. The MoU seeks to boost partnership between both countries for manufacturing, knowledge transfer, services and technology development from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

2. India signs Loan Agreement with ADB for upgrading Tourism Infrastructure and Services: Union Government has inked a loan agreement with Asian Development Bank (ADB) for US 123.51 million dollars for Infrastructure Development Investment Program. The 3 tranche loan will be used for upgrading tourism infrastructure and services in three states Punjab, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

3. Governor of Meghalaya V. Shanmuganathan gets additional charge of Manipur: President Pranab Mukherjee has appointed Governor of Meghalaya V. Shanmuganathan to discharge the functions of the Governor of Manipur.

4. India’s 1st dedicated satellite for astronomy research Astrosat successfully launched: India’s first dedicated satellite for astronomy research Astrosat has been successfully launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikotta. It was launched along with 6 foreign satellites by the ISRO’s work horse Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-C30 (PSLV-C30).

5. Union Government constitute expert committee to revive UPSC civil services exam pattern: Union Government has constituted an expert committee to examine various issues related to UPSC civil services examination to select IAS and IPS officers. The committee panel would be headed by the former IAS officer from Chhattisgarh cadre B.S. Baswan.

6. Dr. Jacob Tsimerman wins 2015 SASTRA Ramanujan Prize: Mathematician Dr. Jacob Tsimerman from Canada has been chosen for the prestigious 2015 SASTRA Ramanujan Prize.

7. S K Sharma appointed as Chairman of Bhakra Beas Management Board: S K Sharma was appointed as the Chairman of Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) with effect from 25 September 2015. Sharma succeeded A B Agrawal, who was Chairman for a period of about five years.
