01. ONGC Videsh buys15 % stake in Russia's second-largest oil project: ONGC Videsh has signed an agreement to buy a 15 per cent stake in CSJC Vankorneft, a company organised under the law of the Russian Federation, and the owner of the Vankor field and North Vankor license.
02. India to see hi-tech ATM machines in the next 2-3 years: India will have world class ATMs in the next two to three years as banks would install new hi-tech machines. Further, since the life span of the ATMs is 5-7 years, most banks would replace old machines with high end machines that meet the international standards.
03. Kotak Mahindra Bank expands its products: Kotak Mahindra Bank (KMB), has announced expansion of its product suite to enable better financial savings for its customers. It has launched two new savings products — Alpha, which combines savings and investment solutions and My Family, which allows families to pool their savings account balances for better collective benefits.
04. Union Government gives nod to OROP: Union Government has given its nod to implement One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme for ex-servicemen. This will provide ex-servicemen of same rank and same length of service uniform pension regardless of date of retirement. The benefit will be given with effect from 1st of July 2014.

07. Jhumpa Lahiri selected for 2014 National Humanities Medal: Indian-American Pulitzer Prize winner Jhumpa Lahiri has been selected for the prestigious 2014 National Humanities Medal of White House.

SAARC countries’ conference on Disaster Mitigation held in New Delhi: Disaster Mitigation conference of member counties of South Asian Association on Regional Cooperation (SAARC) was recently held in New Delhi on 3 September 2015. The two day conference seeks to chalk out and undertake various joint efforts on various issues related to disaster mapping and mitigation in the member nations.
09. Haryana Government wins Skoch Order-of-Merit National award: Haryana Government has won the Skoch Order-of-Merit national award for implementing 6 e-Governance and IT initiatives in the state. Haryana Government has notified 163 e-Governance services which would be delivered to the citizens at their doorsteps with a view to provide time-bound and hassle-free services.
10. Global growth likely to be weaker than expected: IMF chief: IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde has predicted that the global economic growth is likely to be weaker than earlier expected and will remain at moderate levels.
