01. India and Jordan sign 6 MoUs: India and Jordan signed 6 MoUs during the visit of Pranab Mukarjee to that coutry. These MoUs included agreements on merchant shipping and quality standards.

02. Ace racer Lewis Hamilton wins another title: Ace car racer Lewis Hamilton has won F-1 Russian Grand Prix title and defended it this year. He is a British National and is a leading F-1 competitor internationally.

03. IOC to sell 5 kg subsidized cylinders in rural areas: PSU Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) will sell the 5kg subsidized cylinders in rural areas of the country. These rural consumers will be eligible for 112 kg of subsidized cylinders, which will be met by the sale of these 5 kg cylinders.

04. P S Jayakumar appointed CEO of Bank of Baroda: P S Jayakumar, a former employee of Citi Bank has been appointed as the CEO of Bank of Baroda. He is the second person from the Private Sector to head a PSU Bank, after Canara Bank getting a CEO from the same sector.

05. Deposits in Bandhan bank crosses 1500 crores: Within such a short span of time, the deposit base of Bandhan Bank has crossed 1500 crores, out of which, the CASA share accounted for 26%. Presently the Bank has 523 branches and is headquartered at Kolkata.

06. Banks need 5 lakh crore as capital for Basel-III norms: By March 2019, the Indian Banks would need an additional capital of 5 lakh crores for meeting the Basel- III norms. This has to be met by equity needs of Rs.1.75 lakh crores and non-equity needs of Rs.3.25 lakh crores.

07. India assists Palestine: India extended fund assistance of US $ 5 million to Palestine as budgetary assistance. Both countries agreed to execute projects worth US $ 17.79 million in Palestine, which includes setting up of techno park and a centre for excellence in Gaza.

08. Veteran movie director I.V.Sasi honoured: Veteran Malayalam movie director has been conferred with J.C.Daniel Award for his contribution to the film industry. This award is a Government of Kerala Award instituted in 1992.

09. 100 food streets to be adopeted by CII: Planned by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and executed under Surakshit Khadya Abhiyan, a campaign has been launched to target street vendors and improve consumer awareness on aspects of food safety.

10. 18 year old Chartered Accountant: An Indian boy by name Ramkumar Raman has been recognized by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) as its youngest affiliate ever, in UAE. He hails from Chennai.
