1. PM dials Beijing as China blocks move on Lakhvi: India is upset with Beijing for having blocked the UN move made at India’s insistence to

seek an explanation from Islamabad over the alleged violation in releasing of Lakhvi. PM Modi ,has raised the issue with the leadership in

Beijing emphasizing that this was an emotive issue for Indians who have not yet forgotten the dastardly terror strike that left 166 dead in

Mumbai.
2. Indian Football team lost their World Cup qualifier match to a Country Guam : Many people may not have heard of this small country in the

Pacific Ocean which is a small dot in the Pacific Ocean with a total area of 541 sq .km. This country is smaller than Kanha Tiger reserve in

Madhya Pradesh and it has a population of 1.65 lakhs as against 120 billion for India and India has lost World cup qualifier match to this

small country.
3. ISIS crucifies 2 Syrian teens for not fasting during Ramzan: Two boys believed to be under the age of 18, were reportedly crucified and

killed in Syria and their bodies displayed with placards hung around their necks. This is done by ISiS.
4. SEBI relaxes startup listing norms: Aiming to give a boost to India’s already buzzing startup space, market regulator SEBI made it easier

for entrepreneur- driven new companies to list in stock exchange platforms. The new rules are intended to attract startups to list in the SEBI

platform rather than go for looking funds from private investors.
5. New set of Income Tax return forms notified: The Income Tax Department notified a new set of Income tax return forms for the assessment

year 2015-16 and has extended the deadline for filing of returns to August 31.
6. FMC to merge with SEBI by September: SEBI stated that the proposed merger of commodities regulator Forward Markets Commission( FMC) with

SEBI is expected to be completed by September.
