1. Satellite-based navigation system launched: Union Government has launched GPS-Aided Geo Augmented Navigation (GAGAN) system, for aviation navigation. It was launched by Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju in New Delhi. It will provide augmentation service for GPS over India, Bay of Bengal, South-east Asia and Middle East along with expansion up to Africa. The system with the help of reference and uplink station will provide corrections to the GPS signal in order to improve air traffic management. It is 10 times more precise compared to GPS and radio navigation aids used for precision landing.
2. India second biggest loser of rich citizens: India has the second highest millionaire outflow, or number of Indian HNWIs (high net-worth individuals) moving out of the country. Over the last 14 years (2000-14), India saw 61,000 HNWIs leave the country. It was second only to China, which witnessed 91,000 millionaires move out.

4. China sets up world's largest cancer registry : China has set up the world's largest cancer registry system that will cover over 300 million people in a bid to fight the deadly disease with evidence-based and more-targeted intervention programmes. At least three million people develop cancer each year in China, and the registry is expected to expand to include 40 per cent of the nation's population of 1.36 billion by 2020.
5. India, Tajikistan to intensify anti-terror cooperation: India and Tajikistan pledged to intensify cooperation against terrorism. Mr. Modi, President of India and Tajik, President Emomali Rahamon also agreed to step up defence cooperation as the former reiterated the country’s commitment to supporting the development of Tajikistan’s defence capacities to enhance stability and security.
6. No data loss due to hacking:ISRO: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has suffered no information loss due to the hacking of the website of its commercial arm Antrix Corporation, ISRO chairman A.S. Kiran Kumar has said.
