1. Iran reaches historic nuclear deal: Reached on July 14th after 18 days of marathon talks in Vienna, the accord is aimed at resolving a 13-year standoff over Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Under the deal, it is ensured that Iran does not obtain the nuclear bomb, and all sanctions against the Iran removed.
2. CSK, RR owners out of IPL for 2 years: Declaring that cricket is bigger than individuals, the Justice R.M. Lodha Committee on the Indian Premier League (IPL) betting scandal, appointed by the Supreme Court, suspended India Cements Ltd. (ICL) and Jaipur IPL Cricket Private Ltd. (JIPL). 6. NASA Spacecrafts New Horizon gets up close Pluto: World space history took a giant leap on 14th July when Nasa's piano-sized New Horizons spacecraft became the first mission globally to make the closest approach to the dwarf planet Pluto.
7. Harper Lee’s book ‘Go Set a Watch Man’ went on sale around 70 Countries: The Book, whose existence was revealed only this February, is a sequel of sorts to Lee’s 1960 Pulitzer prize winning ‘To kill a Mockingbird’. Harper Lee’s Attorney has not provided her fullest accounting yet of how she came upon the manuscript for ‘Go Set a Watchman’.
8. Adani in talks to acquire Gangavaram Port for $2.1b: Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone has entered into exclusive talks to acquire Gangavaram Port near Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh for $2.1 billion. These could make Adani a dominant player on the country's eastern seacoast.
9. Pak Hindus can Now Bank On India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government is working to make good that promise. Hindu migrants from Pakistan here on long term visas may soon be allowed to open bank accounts and buy residential properties.
10. Rose Valley Fraud : The Rose Valley Group of company headed by Kundu, had raised Rs 15,400 crore in last few years, which is at least six times higher than what the now defunct Saradha group collected from people. The group has only returned Rs. 900 crore. A whopping 700 acres of land spread across 12 states, 23 hotels, 150-odd cars, including a dozen imported luxury vehicles, 900 branch offices and 3,078 bank accounts are owned by Gautam Kundu CMD of Rose Valley Group.

12. SBI, AXIS & YES Bank to offer M-wallets: Electronic Savings accounts that can be used for shopping using mobile handsets would help banks overcome the edge that prepaid users have. SBI, AXIS and YES Bank will launch mobile wallets to take on prepaid instruments like Paytm and Mobikwik.
