01. e-Kuber CBS of Reserve Bank of India to be used for settlements under GST: A committee of FMs of state have recommended for using the Core Banking Solution e-Kuber of RBI for settlements under GST. It also suggested using NEFT / RTGS for the GST payments and refunds.

02. PSUs to help in revenue generation of Government: Government may advise Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) to declare dividend more than the standardized percentage, to meet the shortfall in revenue generation which is likely to touch Rs.50,000 crores in the current fiscal.

03. e-Wallets to be the future of retail payments: Transactions under e-wallets platform has risen from Rs.5.3 crores in August from a meager Rs.2 crore during the last year. This has outpaced the growth rate of usage of credit cards during the same period.

04. Bajaj Fin set to enter housing sector: Bajaj Fin received approval from National Housing Bank (NHB) to set up a housing finance company. Already, the company’s share of lending in the Mortgage segment is nearly 40% of its total lendings.

05. IDBI Bank and Bank of Maharashtra to get capital from Government: Government of India would be providing capital support to IDBI Bank and Bank of Maharashtra to the tune of Rs.2229 crores and Rs.394 crores respectively.

India and Germany ink pact worth 125 million Euros: India and Germany have signed two loan agreements worth 125 million Euros for funding two Green Energy Corridor Program projects to be executed in Himachal Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh. Green Energy Corridor refers to synchronize power from renewable sources to conventional power stations in the national grid.

08. Indian Navy commissions INS Astradharani: INS Astradharani, an indigenously built torpedo launch and recovery vessel was commissioned into the Indian Navy at Vishakapatnam. The vessel can carry out technical trials of underwater weapons and systems developed by NSTL.

09. Sergey Karjakin is 2015 FIDE World Chess Champion: Russian Sergey Karjakin defeated Peter Svidler in the final to be crowned as the 2015 FIDE World Chess Cup. He is ranked No.11 in the world rankings of FIDE, the governing body for world chess.

10. India likely to be No.3 in Pharmaceuticals by the year 2020: Powered by innovation and research, India is likely to get No.3 spot in the pharmaceutical sector among the world countries. India has planned to set up 3 pharma parks in the country with an investment of US $ 26 Million.
